About Sue Luff

Hello Everyone,
My name’s Sue Luff.

Everyone who knows me probably thinks I’m slightly eccentric, those who are really close to me tell me — often! One of my daughters when told in jest that she’s mad replies very seriously ‘ of course I’m mad, how could mum and dad have a child that’s sane!!’ All my five children(there are those that think just having five children qualifies you as mad and there are days when… but I won’t go in to that)think that I’m slightly if not more crazy!!
Whether it’s because I’m obsessed with textiles, or that I’m a nature junkie, or a health food nut, but it’s probably because of all those things and more! Even my parents think I’m nuts!!
Nuts is probably a good word because I am nuts about all things crafty particularly textile craft and particularly patchwork.
I started naturesthreads almost a year ago now and have enjoyed every minute. Being an eco-warrior means I totally approve of saving petrol, the environment and having as many goods as possible delivered! the postman is going to cycle down your road whether you buy online or not, you may as well save your time, petrol and exhaust fumes and let him deliver your fabric and notions.
I started on ebay, then I started attending quilt groups, I now have my own website www.naturesthreads.co.uk so that I can list more goodies and will hopefully be taking a regular table at the Farnham Maltings craft market in order to supply the local area with quilting supplies.
I have met lots of lovely friendly people who are helping me and encouraging me and I am really enjoying this adventure!!
I am becoming more and more involved in the quilting world and it really is great fun!! I would urge anyone to become involved in the craft world it is so rewarding!!
I would like to have more time for designing, but I guess that will come in time.
I hope naturesthreads will continue to grow in any direction and I hope I continue to meet more and more like-minded people (and no I don’t mean like minded like crazy!!)!!
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this, and I will enjoy working with you on your very special projects..

Hello Sue,
I’ve only done basic quilting patterns. I’m still learning but would love to do something more challenging where can I find easy to follow patterns?
