Welcome to naturesthreads & to my ‘about me page’.
I have always been crazy about textile crafts; knitting , sewing, embroidery, dyeing, spinning etc. I’ve got a wool mountain, a fabric stash, several shelves full of craft books, and a spinning wheel in the corner!!!! (perhaps you recognize yourself here!) Put all that together with my obsession with nature and there you have it! --- naturesthreads!!
I started naturesthreads about a year ago; my nearest patchwork & quilting shop was more than an hours’ drive away (and that’s on a good day)!
I was disappointed that I couldn’t find more nature prints, I was wasting my precious sewing time driving to specialist quilt shops and being an eco-warrior that bothered me.
I then realised there must be loads of people like me, who don’t want to waste their craft time shopping, who would rather save their petrol and the environment and buy online. After all, the postman’s going to cycle down your road whether you have post or not! So why not buy from home, save the environment and spend more of your precious time sewing?
I am really enjoying the adventure of naturesthreads, I have met some lovely people, have become more involved with quilting and I’m loving it!!
I love everything to do with needlecraft & textiles, colour & shape and whenever I get a blank moment, I go out for a walk in the woods and by the time I return it’s sorted!!
Remember creativity is like positive energy, it’s contagious!! So pass it on
